Human Remains Found At Joshua Tree National Park
Park officials said a visitor alerted park rangers to what appeared to be partially buried humane remains.

TWENTYNINE PALMS, CA -- Human remains were found at Joshua Tree National Park, park officials announced this weekend. Park officials said a visitor alerted park rangers to what appeared to be partially buried humane remains just off Big Horn Pass Road.
Officials from the Riverside County Coroner’s Office and Riverside County Sheriff’s Department were called to the scene and confirmed they were remains from a human.
The incident is currently being investigated.

Park officials closed Big Horn Pass Road for an indefinite period due to the investigation.
The southern California park is a popular destination with more than 1.4 million visitors each year.
