I-10 Injury Crash Snarls Westbound Traffic Near Whitewater

WHITEWATER, CA — At least one person was hurt Monday when a vehicle smashed into the center divider on Interstate 10 near Whitewater.

The solo vehicle crash was reported about 8:40 a.m. on the westbound I- 10, west of Haugen-Lehmann Way, according to the California Highway Patrol. The vehicle was traveling in the fast lane when it crashed into the center divider for unknown reasons.

At least one person suffered injuries described as minor, the CHP reported.

Two lanes were blocked for about an hour while crews cleared the wreckage.
