IE Woman Stabbed Man In Chest During Fight: Police

HESPERIA, CA — A woman was arrested and charged after stabbing a man in the chest over the weekend in Hesperia, according to police.

Ashley Wicklund, 31, of Hesperia, was booked into the High Desert Detention Center on suspicion of assault with a weapon, police said.

San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputies responded around 6:30 p.m. Sunday to the 18800 block of Rock Springs Road, where they found a 32-year-old man from Hesperia suffering from a single stab wound to the chest, according to police, who said he was airlifted to a hospital and his condition stabilized.

The man and Wicklund had been in an argument that escalated, leading to the stabbing, police said.
