LASD Deputy Ambushed, Fatally Shot In Patrol Car Outside Of Station In Palmdale - Person Of Interest Detained

A suspect has been detained, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed at about 6:15 a.m. Monday. A news conference is scheduled for 10:30 a.m.

A manhunt continued on Sunday and Monday, hours after Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Deputy Ryan Clinkunbroomer was killed in an ambush shooting outside of the Palmdale sheriff's station on Saturday.
LASD says that the deputy had just left the station and was sitting at a red light at the intersection of Sierra Highway and E. Avenue Q before 6 p.m., when the deputy was found slumped over the wheel of his patrol vehicle.
