Local Veterans Night with San Gorgonio Pass Historical Society
All local military veterans will be celebrated at the Nov. 14 event. All are welcome.
On Thursday, Nov. 14, at 7 p.m., the San Gorgonio Pass Historical Society will celebrate local military service members past and present with a short program and reception.
“We’ll have a slide show with photos of local service members, and we ask that folks email photos ahead of the meeting to be included in the presentation,” said historical society board member Laurie McLaughlin.
“We will be presenting information about current veterans’ experiences along with the service stories of those who served as least as far back as World War I,” says McLaughlin.

The email address to send photos and other information is SanGorgonioPHS@gmail.com.
Attendees are also invited to bring photos and memorabilia of service to display at the reception; tables and chairs will be provided. “If people write down a few words—even in bullet-point form—of their service or that of a relative or friend and send or bring the information in, we will label and preserve the documentation in the historical archive for future generations,” adds McLaughlin.

The program is free, open to all, and will be held at the Beaumont Woman’s Club Community Center, 306 E. 6th St., Beaumont. For more information about historical society events, visit sgphs.org or the San Gorgonio Pass Historical Society Facebook page.
