Major Crash Reported On I-10 Near Whitewater
One of the vehicles rolled across the freeway and landed on the other side, reports show.

WHITEWATER, CA — An ambulance was called to the scene Thursday after a multiple-vehicle collision occurred on Interstate 10 near the Whitewater area, reports show. The wreck was first reported just before 2 p.m. on the eastbound side of the freeway, near SR-62.
According to preliminary California Highway Patrol reports, three vehicles were involved in the collision. Two of them came to a rest on the eastbound side of I-10, while a black Ford Expedition appeared to have rolled from the eastbound to the westbound side. It eventually came to a rest in the fast lane of the westbound side of the freeway, sending debris across the roadway, images from the scene showed.
Traffic in both directions was temporarily blocked, but as of 4 p.m. all lanes were back open, according to the CHP.
