Man Reports Home Invasion Robbery, Five Suspects, One with Gun

A resident of San Jacinto reported a home invasion robbery early Monday, told deputies five suspects forced their way into his home, and one of them held a gun on him, a sheriff's sergeant said.

The incident was reported at 12:10 a.m. June 24 in the 900 block of Evans Street, Sgt. Craig McDonald of the sheriff's San Jacinto station said in a statement.

"The victim, a 20-year-old male, said he was at home alone when he heard a knock at his front door," McDonald said. "When he opened the door, five black males, around 18 to 23 years old, forced their way into the home. One of the suspects pointed a handgun at the victim and ordered him to the ground."

The suspects ransacked the home, took undisclosed property items from the residence and left, McDonald said.

The victim was not injured during the incident, McDonald said.
