Man Shot In Beaumont, Found Lying In Street: Cops

The incident was reported at 12:56 a.m. in the area of 5th Street and Beaumont Avenue.​

BEAUMONT, CA -- A man is in grave condition Monday after being found on the street, suffering from a gunshot wound, Beaumont Police said. The incident was reported at 12:56 a.m. in the area of 5th Street and Beaumont Avenue.

Arriving officers found the man lying in the street and began to administer life-saving aid to the victim before he was transported to a nearby hospital. He is currently in "grave condition." police said.

In an initial investigation by officers, witnesses said they heard gun shots and observed a vehicle leaving the area at a high rate of speed, police said.
