Man Veers Off Banning-Idyllwild Panoramic Highway In Injury Crash
A single-car crash occurred on the southbound side of the highway, injuring a driver, California Highway Patrol said.

BANNING, CA — A 25-year-old man was injured Friday after crashing alongside Highway 243 south of Banning, according to California Highway Patrol.
Shortly before 8:30 a.m., a driver headed southbound on the two-lane mountain corridor near Wonderland Drive, according to CHP Officer Jonathan Torres. The motorist, identified only as a Glendale man, was traveling at an unconfirmed speed when he lost control and veered off the roadway, "plowing into vegetation," Torres said.
Witnesses stopped and called 911, and the victim was able to extricate himself from the wreckage minutes later, reportedly with a minor arm injury, Torres said.
