Man's Body Found In Crashed Banning Car, Police Say
Now, officials are investigating the death as a homicide.
BANNING, CA — Banning police detectives are investigating the death of a man who was found dead in a vehicle that crashed in town this week, officials announced. The man, who was not publicly identified, was discovered around 11 p.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of N. Fourth Street, just south of West Wilson Street.
Police say someone called to report a single-vehicle traffic collision — but soon discovered foul play may have been involved.
"Upon arrival, officers found a vehicle that had crashed through a fence and was resting in the front yard of a residence," police said in a news release. "Officers located a deceased adult male in the vehicle who appeared to be the victim of foul play."
