BANNING, CA — A double-wide mobile home ignited in flames Monday afternoon in the hills south of Banning, Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department reported.

Just before 2:30 p.m., thick black smoke was seen erupting from the structure in the 45000 block of Mount Edna. Arriving firefighters were concerned that the blaze would spread to surrounding vegetation or structures; however, they were able to contain the flames to the one prefabricated home.
