Mount Edna House Fire Draws Firefighter Response South of Banning
A double-wide mobile home caught fire Monday afternoon on Mount Edna Road, Cal Fire says.

BANNING, CA — A double-wide mobile home ignited in flames Monday afternoon in the hills south of Banning, Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department reported.
Just before 2:30 p.m., thick black smoke was seen erupting from the structure in the 45000 block of Mount Edna. Arriving firefighters were concerned that the blaze would spread to surrounding vegetation or structures; however, they were able to contain the flames to the one prefabricated home.

No occupants were there at the time of the fire, according to Information Officer Alex Izaguire. "The firefighters will remain in the area to conduct cleanup operations until roughly 5 p.m.," he said.
