Multiple Beaumont Crashes Slow Traffic On I-10
CHP officials report an ambulance was sent to the scene of two separate wrecks.

BEAUMONT, CA — Traffic was backed up Wednesday afternoon following two separate crashes on Interstate 10 in the Beaumont area.
The first wreck was reported around 11:45 a.m. on the eastbound side of the freeway, just west of Oak Valley Parkway, according to preliminary California Highway Patrol reports.
CHP reports indicated that at least two vehicles were involved in the crash and the agency temporarily closed all eastbound lanes. As of 12:16 p.m., the lanes were reopened, but residual traffic remained in the area as of 1 p.m.

A second wreck on the interstate happened around 12:25 p.m. on the westbound side, near Calimesa Boulevard, according CHP reports.
Two vehicles were also involved in that crash, with one of them landing in the center divider, according to the CHP. As of 12:34 p.m., the fast lane was blocked and an ambulance was en route.

Traffic reports indicated a heavy backup all the way to Oak Valley Parkway on the westbound side of the freeway.
