NWS Issues Heat Advisory For Pass Area
Daytime high temperatures during this week's three-day heat spell are expected to near or exceed the triple-digit mark.
SAN GORGONIO PASS AREA, CA —High pressure expanding westward into Southern California will bring inland warming this week across most areas, with the hottest temperatures expected Tuesday through Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.
The warming trend brings with it an NWS-issued heat advisory across the Pass Area from 12 p.m. Tuesday through 8 p.m. Thursday. Daytime high temperatures during the heat spell are expected to near or exceed the triple-digit mark, with overnight lows dropping only down to the mid- to low 70s, according to the NWS.
Forecasters are eyeing an upper-level low sitting off the Southern California coast that is expected to bring some cooling by Friday. Daytime highs are forecast to be about 10 degrees cooler over the weekend in the Pass Area, the NWS reported.
