One Killed, Six Injured In Crash On I-10 In Banning

One person was killed and six others were injured, three seriously, in a crash on Interstate 10 in Banning Saturday.

BANNING, CA — One person was killed and six others were injured, three seriously, in a crash on Interstate 10 in Banning Saturday.

The two-vehicle collision occurred just before 1:40 p.m. on the eastbound side of the freeway near Hargrave Street, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

Fire officials said one person died at the scene while three people suffered serious injuries and three others suffered minor injuries.

One of the victims was ejected from a vehicle, fire officials said.

According to the California Highway patrol, the force of the crash caused one of the vehicles to roll over and land on its side against a tree.

Further details were not immediately available.

The number three and four lanes on the eastbound I-10 near the crash site were shut down as well as the Hargrave off-ramp, according to Caltrans.
