Pedestrian Dies In San Jacinto Collision On Ramona Expressway
The person was walking through traffic lanes when they were struck by two separate vehicles, Riverside County Sheriff's Department said.
SAN JACINTO, CA — A pedestrian died after they were struck by two different vehicles while walking across traffic lanes in San Jacinto on Friday, authorities said Wednesday.
The person was found dead by San Jacinto sheriff's deputies on the Ramona Expressway, west of Lyon Avenue at 8:35 p.m. on Sept. 20, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department said in a release.
The pedestrian's identity has not been released and is pending the notification of their family.

Deputies said the person was walking in traffic lanes when they were hit by two separate drivers, both of which remained on scene and had cooperated with the investigation. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor in the crash, deputies said.
The collision spurred the temporary closure of the Ramona Expressway between Sanderson Avenue and Lyon Avenue.
