Pedestrian Struck, Killed On Westbound I-10 In Rancho Cucamonga

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA — Heavy westbound Interstate 10 traffic Wednesday morning was due to an investigation into a pedestrian death.

The fatality was reported just before 9:30 a.m., just east of Central Avenue in Rancho Cucamonga.

A SigAlert was issued at 9:48 a.m. and remains in place for the #3 and #4 lanes.

The coroner was summoned to the scene and the California Highway Patrol is investigating.

The pedestrian's identity was not released and there was no immediate word on how the incident occurred.
