"They don't deserve this": A community vigil was held Saturday to remember a family of three who were found in a burning home.
RIVERSIDE, CA — A family of three whose bodies were found in a burning home were remembered on Saturday evening at a community vigil in Riverside.
The vigil was held one day after a suspect was killed by San Bernardino County sheriff's deputies in Needles.
The names of the three homicide victims — a husband, wife and the couple's youngest daughter — have not been released by police, but neighbors at the vigil identified the couple as Mark and Sharie Winek and their adult daughter Brooke, who was also a mother.

"I just want everyone to know how loving they were. They don't deserve this. I'm not eating. I'm not sleeping. It just hit me very, very hard," Bonnie Davis, who said she has lived nextdoor to the Wineks for two decades, told ABC7. "They were just that type people that you would just never wake up to think that you would hear this of them."
A GoFundMe campaign that was set up for the Wineks had raised $18,295 as of Sunday.

The fundraising page describes Mark Winek as "a loving Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Brother, and Coach at Arlington High School;" Marie Winek as "a sweet and caring Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Aunt who cherished spending time with her family;" and "Brooke Winek was a beloved single mother with the biggest heart." It further states Brook Winek "found her most immense joy in following her daughter in the Color guard at Arlington High School."
The bodies of the three victims were found on Friday morning, after Riverside police received a report about a possible disturbance between a man and woman at a residence in the 11000 block of Price Court. Shortly after, more calls came in about a fire at the home, Riverside Police Department spokesperson Ryan Railsback said.
When first responders arrived, they found smoke coming from the residence and the three deceased victims, according to Railsback. A motive and information about how they died were not immediately released.
"While officers were on their way, we got other calls of smoke and fire being seen," he said, adding that it took firefighters "a few minutes to put the fire out."
Firefighters found the three people — a man and two women — dead inside the home, Railsback said.
Railsback said there was "clear evidence" the victims did not die as a result of the fire,' the Los Angeles Daily News reported.
"It appears the reason why we went out to the call (the man and woman) may have left in a vehicle," he said.
The woman involved in the original disturbance call was taken into law enforcement custody at some point, and Railsback said late Friday that police were not looking for any more suspects.
"This whole thing is complicated and it's going to take a lot to unravel," Railsback said. "It's still unraveling and it's going to take a bit of time."
The victims were reportedly found together in a room where the fire was burning. Witnesses reported that before first responders arrived at the home, a male and female were seen getting into a vehicle and driving away, according to a report from The Press-Enterprise.
A neighbor told Patch on Saturday that as he saw the victims being taken out of the house, their hands appeared to be bound behind their backs and their faces were at least partially covered.
