SIG ALERT: EB 91, 215 Connector Closes As Semi Tumbles Off Roadway
Drivers were diverted to other routes in Riverside as a semi-truck tumbled down the embankment, leading to a complete closure.

RIVERSIDE, CA — Eastbound State Route 91's transition to the southbound 215 freeway was closed Monday morning after a crash involving a semi-truck, Riverside CHP officers said.
According to reports from the scene, a semi-truck crashed and slid down the embankment on the transition road just before 5 a.m. The closure was expected to last until approximately 11 a.m.
A man was trapped inside the truck cab on the steep incline, according to reports from the scene.

"He slid down about 90 feet," officers said, and the truck would need to be salvaged off the slope, which was expected to take several hours.
There was no immediate information on the semi-truck driver's condition.

CHP advised that the transition road would be closed for an unknown duration and that drivers should seek alternate routes during this incident.
