Six People Displaced In House Fire Near Reche Canyon Road

The Red Cross is assisting those who were forced to flee their Highgrove-area home early Tuesday.

HIGHGROVE, CA — A two-story home caught fire overnight, drawing firefighters to the Highgrove area, Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department shared.

Just after 2:30 a.m., firefighters arrived at the 7000 block of Winship Way to find the two-story home "well involved with fire" and threatening surrounding vegetation, according to a Cal Fire spokesperson.

Firefighters contained the fire by 4 a.m., and the American Red Cross assisted six displaced adults.

The cause of the blaze was not immediately released.
