Woman, 19, Shot, Killed In Riverside; Suspect Arrested

RIVERSIDE, CA — A 19-year-old woman was shot and killed in Riverside Thursday and police took a suspect into custody.

Riverside Police Department officers were called at about 4:15 p.m. to a home in the 330 block of Eucalyptus Avenue on reports of the shooting, according to a department spokesperson.

Arriving officers found the woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, and she was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

Her name not was not released pending notification of her next of kin.

The suspected shooter fled the scene before officers arrived, but was later found and arrested, police said.

No suspect information was provided, and it was not immediately known what led up to the shooting.
