APPLE VALLEY, CA — Investigators say the shooting Tuesday night of a 21-year-old woman at an Apple Valley gas station was "random," and the suspect did not know the victim.
The Victorville woman was at a Shell station at 13730 Apple Valley Road just after 7 p.m. when a gunman, later identified as 42-year-old Michael Bullock of Apple Valley, approached her as she sat in a vehicle, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.
Bullock fired at the woman, leaving her with gunshot wounds to her face and torso. He then fled in a vehicle, the sheriff's department reported.
