23-Year-Old Woman Killed In Crash Near Beaumont ID'd By Coroner

Her vehicle went 50 feet over the side of a road near Beaumont.

BEAUMONT, CA — A woman who was killed when a vehicle fell 50 feet over the side of a road in Beaumont was identified Sunday.

Firefighters responded to the intersection of Highway 79 and California Avenue at about 6:55 a.m. Saturday to a report of a vehicle that had fallen over the side of the road, the Riverside County Fire Department announced.

Responding firefighters found the lone occupant of the vehicle had perished at the scene.

She was identified by the Riverside County coroner's office as 23-year-old Irene Peralta of San Jacinto.

The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
