2 Dead After Car Overturns In Vallejo
Two people died and a third was taken to the hospital in the wake of a crash in Vallejo early Sunday morning, police said.
VALLEJO, CA — Two people died and a third was taken to the hospital in the wake of a crash in Vallejo early Sunday morning, police said.
A silver Volkswagen Golf overturned in the southbound lane of Flagship Drive near Seventh Street around 1:15 a.m., according to Vallejo police. Despite lifesaving efforts by emergency service personnel, two passengers were pronounced dead at the scene by fire department paramedics, police said.
The driver of the vehicle was transported to the hospital for evaluation, according to police. A DUI investigation was conducted on the driver, according to police, who said that preliminary findings indicated that alcohol and drugs allegedly were contributing factors in the collision.
