2 Solano County Supervisors Secure Another Term: Election Results

Supervisors in Districts 1 and 2 had comfortable leads, while a sheriff's lieutenant was narrowly defeating a pastor in the District 5 race.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA — Both incumbents defending their seats on the Solano County Board of Supervisors appeared to be headed for wins following Tuesday's presidential primary election, while a sheriff's lieutenant was leading in a two-way race to fill an open seat in a third district.

In District 5, which includes Rio Vista, part of Fairfield and much of the rural eastern part of the county, sheriff's Lt. Mitch Mashburn as of 6 p.m. Thursday was narrowly leading David Isom, a church pastor, by a 50.84 percent to 49.16 percent. Those numbers came with 42 of 42 precincts reporting.

Incumbent District 5 Supervisor Skip Thomson did not seek re-election.

In District 1, which includes much of Vallejo, incumbent Erin Hannigan was leading challenger Robert McConnell by a 60.25 to 39.75 percent margin Thursday evening. That was with 26 of 26 precincts reporting.

With 39 of 39 precincts reporting, District 2 incumbent Monica Brown, with 51.13 percent of the vote, was far ahead of challengers Rochelle Sherlock (25.25 percent) and K. Patrice Williams (23.62 percent). That district includes Benicia, Cordelia, Green Valley and part of Vallejo.
