3 Juveniles Arrested On Suspicion Of Possessing A Loaded Handgun In Nearby Fairfield
Police say they have arrested three juveniles on suspicion of possessing weapons Sunday night in Fairfield.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA -- Police arrested three juveniles on suspicion of possessing weapons Sunday night in Fairfield.
At 9:36 p.m. on April 23, two police detectives say they were in a patrol car when they noticed three people loitering near a vehicle and a fence in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 100 block of Tabor Avenue.
The detectives said they shined a spotlight on the group and exited the patrol car to contact them, and that the detectives approached, they heard the sound of metal hitting and sliding on the ground near the group. All three individuals were ordered to come toward the detectives, and they were detained.

Detectives said they searched the area and found a loaded Smith & Wesson .40 caliber handgun that had been thrown to the ground under the parked car that the suspects were standing next to.
All three suspects denied knowing about the gun and were uncooperative with the detectives during the investigation, police said.

According to police, all three suspects are juveniles and residents of Fairfield. They were booked into the Solano County Juvenile Hall on suspicion of possessing weapons and other offenses.
