Benicia Police Log: Loud Kids, Loud Neighbors and a Residential Burglary

This is the crime bulletin for July 22, 2013  from the Benicia Police Department.Â
12:17 a.m.: The new neighbors on Goldenhill were making a bit too much noise while unloading their furniture. Police cautioned them that they weren’t making a good first impression.

1:09 a.m.: That guy running away from a car parked on Anita was the vehicle owner who was staying with a friend in the area.
2:36 a.m.: The guy parked on Military West for over an hour was waiting for a friend to bring him some gas.

3:52 a.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at a residence on McAllister.
8:48 a.m.: There was an animal disturbance on East T Street. Investigating officers left a note for the animal’s owner.
8:52 a.m.: Police opened an investigation into a commercial burglary on East Second Street.
11:08 a.m.: There was a non-injury traffic collision on Lake Herman Road.
11:49 a.m.: Police were dispatched to Lindo street where there was a report of a trespasser.
12:38 p.m.: A resident on Military West reported fraudulent credit card transactions. Police opened an investigation.
1:51 p.m.: There was a non-injury traffic collision on East L Street.
2:55 p.m.: Officers opened an investigation into a residential burglary on Dorset.
4:56 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the vicinity of White Chapel to investigate a traffic hazard. They found a tree had fallen and notified Public Works which sent a crew to remove the tree.
11:18 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to Buchanan where a group of juveniles was being a bit too loud while enjoying an after-hours dip in the hot tub.
Editor’s Note: Sometimes you might find items in the police log that seem humorous but please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
