Benicia Traffic Stop Leads To Arrest For Meth, Heroin, Weapon Possession
Police found several illegal items -- including meth and heroin -- in a suspect's vehicle after the driver was pulled over for expired tags.
BENICIA, CA -- Police found several illegal items -- including drugs and a lock pick -- in a suspect's vehicle after the driver was pulled over for expired registration earlier this week.
On Monday, a Benicia police officer stopped a car for an expired registration in the 500 block of East N Street, and later determined that the driver has a suspended license and three misdemeanor warrants out of Kern County.
The driver, Amanda Vasquez, 33, of Vallejo (seen above) was also on probation in Los Angeles County for possession of stolen property. Inside her vehicle and on her person, officers found brass knuckles, a "slim jim" lock pick instrument, suspected meth and heroin, as well as drug paraphernalia, all seen in the second photo above.
