Benicia Road Overcrossing To Close For I-80 Six Bridges Project
Benicia Road at Interstate 80 will remain closed until construction is completed in January.

BENICIA, CA — Caltrans Bay Area will start working on the Benicia Road Overcrossing at Interstate 80 and will close off the freeway bridge to the public starting Tuesday, Sept. 7.
The closure is part of the Interstate 80 Six Bridges Project to increase the vertical clearance of six overcrossings along the freeway just north of the Carquinez Bridge in the City of Valljeo.
Northbound and southbound Benicia Road at I-80 will remain closed for 4 months until construction is completed in January.

Benicia Road Bridge Detour Routes
Westbound Detour: Motorists traveling westbound on Benicia Road will need to head southbound on Laurel Street and take a slight left turn onto Reis Avenue to enter westbound Curtola Parkway, then take a left onto Lemon Street to Benicia Road.
Eastbound Detour: Motorists traveling eastbound will need to head south on Lemon Street onto eastbound Curtola Parkway and exit the off-ramp to Spruce Street, then continue west on Spruce Street to Laurel Street to Benicia Road.

Benicia Road Bridge Shuttle Service
A 24-hour shuttle service is available for pedestrians and bicyclists who need to safely cross the Benicia Road Bridge. The phone number for the shuttle is 415-263-4000.
One shuttle stop is located on each side of the bridge. The westbound shuttle stop is at the westbound SolTrans Bus Stop at Benicia Road and Ream Street. The eastbound shuttle stop is at the Caltrans Park-and-Ride on Lincoln Road East in Vallejo, near the Chevron gas stations.
