Caltrans Announces 2 Overnight I-80 Freeway Closures
Interstate 80 is slated to be closed between Interstate 780 and state Highway 37 in Vallejo. Here's what to know.
SOLANO COUNTY, CA — Caltrans has scheduled two full overnight closures of Interstate 80 in Vallejo as crews work to raise the height of the Tennessee Street overcrossing as part of the ongoing I-80 Six Bridges Project.
Westbound I-80 is scheduled to be closed between Interstate Highway 780 and state Highway 37 from 11 p.m. Sunday, April 10, overnight until 4 a.m. Monday, April 11.
Eastbound I-80 is scheduled to be closed between I-780 and SR-37 from 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, overnight until 5 a.m. Wednesday, April 13.

During the I-80 closure times, eastbound or westbound I-80 on-ramps in Vallejo will be closed as needed to facilitate the work safely, Caltrans said.

Detour Routes
Detours will be in place and signs will be posted, according to Caltrans.

Motorists traveling on eastbound I-80 will need to take I-780 to state Highway 29 to state Highway 37, where they can re-enter eastbound I-80. Motorists traveling on westbound I-80 will need to take SR-37 to SR-29 to I-780 to westbound I-80.
Shuttle Service
A 24-hour shuttle service is available for pedestrians and bicyclists who need to safely cross the Tennessee and Georgia Street overcrossings. One shuttle stop is located on each side of the bridge. The phone number to call for free shuttle service is 415-263-4000.
