Car Set On Fire, 'KKK' Painted On Side In Possible North Bay Hate Crime, Police Say
A vehicle was set on fire Monday night in Vacaville, and local police say they're investigating the incident as a possible hate crime.
SOLANO COUNTY, CA -- A vehicle was set on fire Monday night in Vacaville, and police are investigating the incident as a possible hate crime.
Shortly after 9 p.m. on April 24, firefighters responded to a vehicle fire on William Street near downtown. The vehicle was completely engulfed in flames and was destroyed by the fire, police said.
According to police, before the fire occurred, someone spray-painted "KKK" on the side of the vehicle.

The owner of the vehicle has not had any problems with anyone in the neighborhood and does not know why the vehicle was targeted, police said.
Police said they are investigating this incident as a possible hate crime and are asking for the public's help.
