Delta Ferries To Reduce Schedule Due To Staff Shortage: Caltrans

The SR-84 Real McCoy Ferry and SR-220 J-Mack Ferry will operate on a reduced schedule starting Dec. 24, Caltrans said.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA — The State Route 84 Real McCoy Ferry and State Route 220 J-Mack Ferry will operate on a reduced schedule starting Friday, Dec. 24, due to a staff shortage of ferry captains, Caltrans said Friday in a traffic advisory.

Both ferries will be out of service starting Friday, Dec. 24, until Sunday, Dec. 26.

Motorists are encouraged to use the state Highway 84 Miner's Slough Bridge as an alternate route.

The SR 220 J-Mack Ferry will operate on a regular schedule from midnight until noon Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 27-29.

"Caltrans regrets any inconvenience for motorists and residents who use the ferry to access Ryer Island," Caltrans Spokesperson Pedro Quintana said.

Out of service: noon Friday, Dec. 24, until 11:58 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 25; and noon Sunday, Dec. 26 until 11:58 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 26

In-Service: 12:01 a.m. until noon, Sunday, Dec. 26 and 12:01 a.m. until noon Monday, Dec. 27

SR 220 J-Mack Ferry Reduced Schedule

Out of Service: From noon Friday, Dec. 24 until noon Monday, Dec. 27; and from midnight Thursday, Dec. 30 through midnight Tuesday, Jan. 4.
