A Vacaville resident suffered major injuries in a collision on the transition ramp from westbound Interstate Highway 80 to state Highway 37.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA — A Vacaville man suffered major injuries when he was ejected from his vehicle during a collision Sunday afternoon in Vallejo, the California Highway Patrol said. The 49-year-old Vacaville resident was driving a red Dodge Durango on the westbound Interstate Highway 80 to westbound state Highway 37 transition ramp in Vallejo when he made an unsafe turn and collided with a Honda Accord around 12:30 p.m., the CHP said.
The Honda spun and came to rest on the left shoulder of the ramp, but the Dodge overturned several times and ejected the driver who was not wearing a seatbelt, the CHP said.
The ejected driver suffered major injuries and was taken to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center. The occupants of the Honda were not injured, according to the CHP.
