Driver Who Died In Single Car I-80 Crash Identified As Solano County Woman

A woman who died in a single-vehicle highway crash in Pinole on Wednesday has been identified as 20-year-old Michelle Cox of Vallejo.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA -- A woman who died in a single-vehicle highway crash in Pinole on Wednesday has been identified as 20-year-old Michelle Cox of Vallejo, according to the Contra Costa County coroner's office.

Cox was killed, according to the California Highway Patrol, when her car overturned on eastbound Interstate Highway 80 near the Appian Way off-ramp at about 12:50 p.m. on April 19.

Cox, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
