UPDATE: Woman Dies In Fatal Solo Car Crash On Eastbound I-780: CHP
The driver of a vehicle died Tuesday upon crashing on eastbound Interstate Highway 780 in the Solano County city of Benicia, near Vallejo.
SOLANO COUNTY, CA -- A 55-year-old woman died when her red Nissan Versa crashed on eastbound Interstate Highway 780 in Benicia Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 11 a.m. east of Glen Cove Road when the Nissan went off the left side of the highway, hit a dirt embankment and overturned, CHP Officer David Harvey said.
All lanes of eastbound Highway 780 were initially closed but had all reopened by 12:48 p.m., according to the CHP.
