Gunfire At Solano Community College: Man From Nearby Vallejo Arrested, Police Say

SOLANO COUNTY, CA -- Solano County sheriff's deputies say they have arrested a Vallejo man on suspicion of shooting a firearm at Solano Community College earlier this month.

The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Marcus Hamilton, was taken into custody on Tuesday, April 18.

The shooting occurred around 2:45 p.m. on April 7. Witnesses said they heard an argument before gunfire in lot #1 at the main campus located at 4000 Suisun Valley Road in Fairfield.

Deputies who were on campus at the time immediately responded to the shooting and did not find a suspect or victim. No one involved was a current student and the shooting appears to be an isolated incident,
sheriff's officials said.
