House Fire In Nearby Vallejo Erupts When Vehicle Hits Gas Main
Vallejo firefighters have extinguished a 2-alarm house fire that started when a vehicle involved in a collision struck a gas main Wednesday.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA -- Vallejo firefighters have extinguished a two-alarm house fire that started when a vehicle involved in a collision struck a gas main Wednesday morning.
One of the two cars in the collision at Louisiana and Marin streets around 10:50 a.m. landed on top of a gas main at a residence at 1320 Marin St., Vallejo Fire Engineer Danny Gutierrez said.
The front of the large, two-story Victorian house was engulfed in flames, but the four occupants and a dog escaped safely, Gutierrez said.

The vehicle was removed from the gas main and firefighters controlled the fire within 30 minutes, Gutierrez said.
The driver of the vehicle that crashed into the house refused medical treatment and the other driver suffered minor injuries and went to a hospital, according to Gutierrez.

There were no injuries to firefighters, Gutierrez said. PG&E crews also responded to the fire.
