Kappa Beta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® to Host Community Events at Vallejo Juneteenth
Sorority provides visitors with opportunity to give back, protect the planet, and support one another.

VALLEJO, CA — The Kappa Beta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® is proud to participate in Vallejo’s Juneteenth Celebration this Saturday at the Vallejo Waterfront with a day full of impactful community service and engagement.
As part of our commitment to service and sustainability, we will be hosting a community recycling event. Community members are encouraged to bring out their unwanted electronic items—everything from old phones, desktops, and cords to laptops and other devices that plug in. We will have a recycling truck on-site ready to accept your electronic waste. (Please note: major appliances will not be accepted.)
In addition, we will also be giving away gently used and new clothing as well as children’s books—a great way to help families prepare for summer reading and the upcoming school year.

Also, we will be conducting a voter registration drive to highlight the power of the vote and to encourage civic participation, especially as we approach a critical election season.
Come out, bring your items, register to vote, and grab something for your family. It’s a wonderful opportunity to give back, protect the planet, and support one another.
