Man Goes Missing In Solano County Slough In 'Terrible Accident'
Search-and-rescue efforts were continuing for an Amador County man who reportedly fell from a boat while participating in a fishing derby.
SOLANO COUNTY, CA — Rescue efforts continued Monday for a man from Amador County who didn't surface after falling Saturday from a boat in a slough in Solano County, sheriff's officials said Monday. As of Monday night, 62-year-old Ione resident Randall Hacker was missing.
His family has been notified, Solano County sheriff's spokesperson Deputy Daniel Pratt said.
Pratt said Hacker and a couple of friends were on a boat competing in a fishing derby when Hacker fell into Nurse Slough early Sunday morning.

No foul play is suspected.
Pratt called it a "terrible accident."

Volunteers have been scouring the area and the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services has been deployed along with Suisun City police, the U.S. Coast Guard and other agencies to rescue Hacker.
