Silver Honda Civic Sought In Fatal Hit-and-Run

A woman, 27, was killed crossing a Vallejo street in January. The vehicle involved would have damage to grill and wheel well, police said.

SOLOANO COUNTY, CA – Police are looking for a vehicle that struck and killed a woman in a hit-and-run last month in Vallejo.

Investigators pieced together debris left at the scene of the crime and determined that the parts belong to a silver four-door 2006 to 2008 Honda Civic, police said.

Police believe the Honda sustained damage to its front grill and driver's side wheel well.

At 8:48 p.m. on Jan. 26, police received a report of a person down in the roadway in the southbound lane of Sonoma Boulevard north of Lewis Brown Road. Responding officers found a woman who appeared to have been hit by a car, police said.

An investigation revealed that the woman, a 27-year-old transient from Vallejo named Lori Walker, was walking or riding her bike east across Sonoma Boulevard just south of the state Highway 37 overcrossing when she was struck by a vehicle traveling south, police said.

Walker died at the scene. The driver of the suspect vehicle fled the scene and remains at large, police said.
Police are asking anyone with information about the case, or who finds a car similar to the suspect vehicle described, to call Officer Waylon Boyce at (707) 648-4013 and refer to case no. 18-1036.
