Suspect In Fatal Bay Area Shooting Arrested: Police

The suspect is accused of killing another man during a robbery on Sept. 15, according to authorities.

VALLEJO, CA — Police say they've arrested a suspect in connection with the fatal shooting of a man in Vallejo earlier this month.

Vallejo resident Rashad Jaquez Roy Breed Love O'Neal, 30, was arrested on suspicion of shooting and killing a man the morning of Sept. 15, in the 600 block of Ohio Street, according to authorities.

Officers responded to that area the day of the shooting and found a man who'd been shot at least once inside a car, according to the Vallejo Police Department.

The 30-year-old was driving a car without license plates when he was pulled over in the 4300 block of Sonoma Boulevard on Sept. 21, authorities said.

An unregistered gun was located in his vehicle during the stop, and he was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm, police said.

Through an investigation, homicide detectives tied O'Neal to the fatal shooting, police said.

He was charged with first-degree murder on Tuesday, along with a special circumstance that the killing happened while trying to rob the victim, police said.
