Two 55-Hour Closures Scheduled For I-80, I-680, SR-12 Interchange

SOLANO COUNTY, CA — Caltrans has scheduled two full weekend closures of the eastbound Interstate 80 Green Valley Road exit and the eastbound I-80 connector to southbound Interstate 680 as crews continue construction of the I-80/I-680/SR-12 Interchange Project.

Eastbound I-80 Green Valley Road Exit Closure: 10 p.m. Friday, July 22 until 5 a.m. Monday, July 25

Motorists are encouraged to continue on eastbound I-80 past the Green Valley Road exit, take the Suisun Valley Road exit, make an immediate right onto Pittman Road, continue onto Pittman Road, take a right onto Cordelia Road, take a right onto Lopes Road, continue on Lopes Road until it becomes Green Valley Road.

Motorists are advised to expect travel delays while the closure is in place.

For the safety of workers and motorists, an overnight closure of eastbound state Highway 12 (SR-12) will also be in place for three consecutive nights starting at 10 p.m. Friday, July 22, until 8 a.m. Saturday, July 23. On Saturday, July 23 the closure will restart at 11 p.m. and reopen at 9 a.m. Sunday, July 24. The final night of the closures will begin at 8 p.m. Sunday, July 24, and reopen at 5 a.m. Monday, July 25. Traffic will be detoured to Red Top Road.

On Monday, July 25, the new Green Valley Road off-ramps from eastbound SR-12 and eastbound I-80 will be open to traffic.

EB I-80 Connector to SB I-680 Closure: 10 p.m. Friday, July 29, until 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 1

Motorists are advised to continue on eastbound I-80 past the southbound I-680 connector exit, then take eastbound I-80 at the Chadbourne Road exit and take a left onto Chadbourne Road, then continue on Chadbourne Road over the overcrossing and take a left onto westbound I-80, then merge onto westbound I-80 and take the southbound I-680 exit.

Detour signs will be posted.

For the safety of workers and motorists, closures of eastbound SR-12 will also be in place for three consecutive nights starting at 10 p.m. Friday, July 29, until 8 a.m. Saturday, July 30. On Saturday, July 30 the closure will restart at 11 p.m. and reopen at 9 a.m. Sunday, July 31. The final night of the closures will begin at 8 p.m. Sunday, July 31 and reopen at 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 1. Traffic will be detoured to Red Top Road.

On Monday, Aug. 1, the new southbound I-680 connector ramps from eastbound SR-12 and eastbound I-80 will be open to traffic.
