​Woman Pulls Knife From Store Packaging, Uses It To Rob Shop

A Vallejo shopper took a kitchen knife off the shelf, loaded a shopping cart with merchandise and headed out of the store, police said.

VALLEJO, CA — A Vallejo shopper took a kitchen knife off the shelf, loaded a shopping cart with merchandise and headed out of the store, threatening to stab anyone who tried to stop her, police said.

The woman escaped with about $300 in goods including kitchen scales, packaged food and the knife before she was captured, police said Saturday on social media.

The robbery occurred Thursday at a store in the 3000 block of Sonoma Boulevard, police said.
The staff said the woman entered their store, found a kitchen knife, stripped off its store packaging and began loading a shopping cart, police said.

The woman threatened to stab employees who attempted to stop her from leaving, police said.

Witnesses said the woman tried to hide the stolen goods in a nearby field. Police recovered it and located the woman. She was accused of robbery and brandishing a weapon.
