Young Vallejo Man Dies In Crash

VALLEJO, CA — A young man died in a solo vehicle crash early Saturday morning in Vallejo, the California Highway Patrol said. The Solano County coroner's office identified the victim as 23-year-old Vallejo man Dayuente Hudson. The crash reportedly occurred during a pursuit by the CHP.

The crash occurred at Lemon Street near Sonoma Boulevard.

Hudson was driving a 2002 Lexus IS300 south on Lemon Street around 12:35 a.m. when he crashed the car into a metal light pole at the intersection with Sonoma Boulevard. Medical personnel pronounced Hudson dead at the scene.

CHP officials don't know whether drugs or alcohol played a part in the crash and the cause is still under investigation.
