2 UC Berkeley Students Escape Robbery Attempt: Cops
Two UC Berkeley students, both women, ran to safety after they were approached by three suspects according to police.
BERKELEY, CA — An attempted robbery was reported over the weekend near the UC Berkeley campus, police said.
Two UC Berkeley students, both women, ran to safety after they were approached by three suspects according to the Berkeley Police Department.
The suspects remain at large, police said.

The women were walking at around 2:40 a.m. Sunday on the south side of Haste Street, just east of Bowditch Street, when a dark-colored SUV pulled in front of them blocking their path, police said.
When the vehicle stopped in front of the women, three suspects got out of the vehicle and quickly approached the women according to police.

The women ran away from the suspects to a place where they felt safe and called police.
The suspects are described as three men wearing dark clothing—one of them possibly wearing a red shirt underneath a dark jacket.
The suspect’s vehicle is described as a dark colored SUV.
