SFPD arrested a suspect in the snatch-and-run theft of a French bulldog, but the investigation into Hank's whereabouts continues.
Hank the bulldog was stolen in front of his owner about 11:44 p.m. on Dec. 10, in the 400 block of Castro Street, according to San Francisco
No arrest has been announced in the case.
The woman told police she was shot in the leg after getting into a confrontation with a man walking a dog on her way to the BART station.
The checkpoint will be held from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Shattuck Avenue and Parker Street, according to the Berkeley Police Department.
The student was attending a party at a frat in November when he drowned, according to authorities.
Police say they found crack cocaine, gloves, a stolen gun, a knife and a taser in the suspect's car.
Josue Cornejo, 23, was fatally shot in Richmond last month, and police say his killer is still at large.

The student was found drowning in a pool during a party at an off-campus fraternity on Friday, Nov. 14, authorities previously said.
"We are glad this incident was resolved without anyone being injured, but it underscores an important message," police said.

The San Leandro man was taken into custody in connection with the crime, police said.
The man was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping, domestic violence and evading police, authorities said.

"The harm felt by this tragic loss is profound," the Berkeley Police Department said.
Police said there was no crime and that the kidnapping was unfounded.

The shooting happened Monday morning in Richmond, police said.
Police said they have arrested a suspect and that this was a targeted incident.
Police placed the school on lockdown and reported there was an active shooter on the campus.
The assault happened during the early hours of Saturday morning, police said.
He was charged Thursday with several crimes, including burglary and prowling, police said.
"I didn't want to believe that there are people out there who could be this evil and do something like this," she said.

A man accused of robbing a gas station with a silver revolver last year has been arrested.
