BERKELEY, CA — A $50,000 reward is being offered in a Berkeley cold case, police said.
The Berkeley Police Department announced the reward offer on the fifth anniversary of Alex Goodwin Jr.’s killing.
The 22-year-old aspiring rapper was the victim of a targeted shooting on Aug. 18, 2016 KTVU reports.

The shooting occurred outside at his family's home on Mabel Street near San Pablo Park after someone the family didn't recognize rang their doorbell shortly before midnight according to the report.
Gunshots were heard after Goodwin went out a back door to see who was at the doorbell, the report said.
