Berkeley Fire Department Has 3 Rescue Dogs

The highly trained dogs and their handlers are nationally certified.

BERKELEY, CA — The Berkeley Fire Department has three highly trained search dogs at its disposal — with the dogs and their handlers all nationally certified.

The dogs will be deployed to find survivors after disasters, such as earthquakes, wildfires or tsunamis.

The dogs are Wheeler and handler Alyssa Corsa, Ozzie and handler Christy Lopes, and Topa and handler Rudy Valencia.
