BERKELEY, CA — Monte Smith, Sr., 39, of Berkeley, died in a crash in Union City Sunday afternoon, the Alameda County Coroner's Bureau announced on Tuesday.
His cause of death was not released.
The single car accident happened in a parking lot at 950 Whipple Road.

Union City Police received a call at 2:40 p.m. about the crash. They arrived to find Smith unconscious and not breathing. He was pronounced dead by paramedics.
