BERKELEY, CA — The Berkeley Police Department is backing LBGTQ+ Pride Month.

The agency said in a statement that it is authorizing its employees, including sworn and professional staff, to wear a Pride lapel pin this month.

“The Berkeley Police Department will always stand with and support the LGBTQ+ community, including those members who are part of our Department,” the agency said in a statement.
