Berkeley Police Arrest Driver For DUI, Discover Handgun
An East Bay man faces DUI and weapons charges after an early morning incident.
BERKELEY, CA — Berkeley police arrested a 63-year-old Alameda man early Saturday morning for suspected DUI and carrying a concealed weapon after finding him asleep in his vehicle at the intersection of Fourth Street and Hearst Avenue.
Officers responded to the scene around 2:52 a.m. and discovered the man, along with an open bottle of alcohol nearby.
Following a series of field sobriety tests, he was arrested for DUI.
